Our Beliefs

At The Services Recognition Feather, we stand strong and united in our mission and beliefs:

  • We believe that The Services Recognition Feather strengthens an international community network through awareness, appreciation, support, esteemed gratitude and recognition of the ongoing sacrifice and support provided by the family and friends of service personnel

  • We believe in providing significant unified international and community led recognition for the people behind the parade

  • We believe in honouring and acknowledging what matters most; our families and friends

  • We believe in nurturing hope, courage, compassion and connection

  • We believe in creating international and inter-service community bonds

  • We believe in providing service people with a structured and significant opportunity to say a heartfelt ‘thank-you’

  • We believe that families and friends of service personnel from all United Nations member states, regardless of age, race, religion, gender, marital or relationship status, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and culture, deserve to be recognised

  • We believe that The Services Recognition Feather should be independent of services bureaucracy and government politics; no one service or one country should hold the ‘right’ to reward recognition and acknowledgement to families and friends of service people by measuring each individual up against a formal list of eligibility criteria

  • We believe respect, integrity, ethics, and dignity lie as the foundation pillars from which The Services Recognition Feather is built upon
